Terms and Conditions

Buy Advocate™ topical flea and worm treatment this October and enter the draw to win 12 months of pet insurance provided by pd.co.nz.
pd.co.nz is a product of Pacific International Insurance Pty Ltd NZBN 9429041356500, FSP394846.

1. Eligibility

The prize draw is open to individuals who purchase Advocate™ topical flea and worm treatment products with a qualifying QR code on the packaging (qualifying product).
Participants who purchased the qualifying product online or in store from Animates.
Participants must complete the entry form by scanning the QR code or completing online.
The prize is subject to the pd.co.nz underwriting rules and some breeds of dogs will not qualify for the prize.
Participants must be 18 years or older and reside permanently in New Zealand.
Employees of pd.co.nz and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
One entry for one pet is allowed per qualifying product purchased.
Any existing pd.co.nz Starter Covers/ PD Pet Insurance renewals of existing pd.co.nz policies are not eligible for this prize Draw.

2. How to Enter

In Store at any Animates branch – Customers must activate the QR code and complete the entry form.
Online – Customers must complete the online entry form to be eligible.

3. Prize draw Period

The prize draw will run from (TBC) start of October till End of November 2024. The entry form must be completed no later than DD/MM/YYY and only qualifying products purchased during the prize draw period will qualify for the prize.

4. Prize

Two lucky winners will each receive a 12-month pet insurance Classic Plan from pd.co.nz.
The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable & cannot be exchanged for cash.
The prize for this prize draw is valued at an estimated $10,000.
The prize covers one pet on a policy.
The policy will be activated by pd.co.nz within 30 days of the qualifying prize winner taking up the prize and providing all information requested.
Pre-existing conditions, conditions currently under investigation, and any signs or symptoms of illness or injury present prior to policy activation will not be covered.
At the end of the 12 months’ free period, if the policy is renewed the usual premium applicable to the policy will apply. The prize draw does not affect or alter any of the terms and conditions of the policy.

5. Winner Selection

A random drawing will be conducted on TBC by the pd.co.nz team.
Winner will be published on pd.co.nz’s social media pages.
The prize winner will initially be notified by telephone using the details provided to pd.co.nz when the Eligible product was purchased.
If contact cannot be made on the first attempt, up to seven (7) further attempts will be made by telephone over a period of no more than three (3) weeks.
If contact cannot be established with the prize winner by telephone, pd.co.nz will attempt to contact the prize winner by email.
If contact cannot be established with the prize winner by email within three (3) months of the prize Draw, the prize will be redrawn.
If the winner of the prize does not qualify for the prize due to underwriting rules of pd.co.nz, the prize will be redrawn.

6. Winner Requirements

Winner agrees to provide this information when requested, along with an address for delivery of the prize.
By participating in this prize draw, the prize winner agrees that pd.co.nz may request to take photos of the prize winner and their pet(s), or have suitable photos supplied by the prize winner, and use such photos and the names of the prize winner and their pet(s) for promotional purposes on the pd.co.nz website and other social media pages.

7. Publicity

Pd.co.nz may use any personal information collected during the prize Draw to administer the prize Draw and for marketing pd.co.nz’s products and services in the future.

8. General Conditions

Pd.co.nz reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the prize draw at any time.
We reserve the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of these terms and conditions.

9. Privacy

Information collected from potential customers will be used in accordance with pd.co.nz’s Privacy Policy.

10. Release

Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, pd.co.nz (and its officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability for any direct, indirect, special or consequential loss, damage, or injury arising in any way in connection with the prize Draw or acceptance or use of any prize.

11. Governing Law

This prize draw is governed by the laws of New Zealand and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.

By participating in this prize draw, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not enter.
