Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the Festive Paw-sonality Word Search competition run by PD Insurance NZ (pd.co.nz), in which participants are invited to engage with festive-themed content on Facebook and/or Instagram for the chance to win a $200 Digital Prezzy Card.
In these Terms, “pd.co.nz” refers to PD Insurance, Pacific International Insurance Pty Ltd and all related group companies (also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”).
1. How to Enter the Competition
To enter the competition, participants must complete the following step during the Competition Period:
- Comment on the official Festive Paw-sonality Word Search post on Facebook or Instagram with the first word they see in the puzzle.
That comment automatically counts as one (1) entry into the random name-selector draw.
Participants must also:
- Be a legal resident of New Zealand; and
- Be aged 18 years or over.
2. What Counts as a Qualifying Entry
A “Qualifying Entry” must:
- Contain the first word spotted within the official puzzle, posted as a comment on the competition post;
- The word submitted must accurately appear in the puzzle – fabricated or unrelated words will not qualify;
- Be submitted within the Competition Period;
- Entries must be appropriate for public display and comply with Facebook and Instagram community guidelines.
Participants are encouraged – but not required – to include a short note or photo explaining how their pet embodies that trait.
If a participant chooses to provide additional information, photos, or videos, such content must reflect responsible pet care. Any submissions showing pets in distress, unsafe conditions, or activities that could reasonably be considered harmful, unethical, or irresponsible will be disqualified and may be reported to the relevant platform.
Only one valid entry per person per platform will be accepted. Duplicate or spam comments will be disqualified.
3. Competition Period
The competition runs from 1 December 2025 at 00:01 NZST to 27 December 2025 at 23:59 NZST.
Entries received outside this period will not be eligible.
4. Prize and Winner Selection
There will be one official winner, selected at random from all valid entries.
Prize Details:
- One (1) $200 Digital Prezzy Card.
- Winner announcement: 31 December 2025.
- Delivery: The Digital Prezzy Card will be issued directly to the winner via email.
The winner will be contacted via Direct Message (DM) on the platform where they entered.
5. Eligibility and Contact
- To enter the competition and claim a prize, winners must:
- Respond to our message within 7 days of being contacted.
- Provide a valid phone number, email address, and NZ residential address.
- Be 18 years or older and a resident of New Zealand.
- All personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If a winner does not respond in time or cannot be reached, we reserve the right to:
- Select a replacement winner.
- Withdraw the prize.
- Donate the prize to a registered charity of our choice.
6. Use of Photos and Content
By voluntarily sharing any photos, videos, comments, or other content as part of this competition, participants grant pd.co.nz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, publish, and distribute such materials across its marketing and promotional channels – including but not limited to social media, newsletters, blogs, and paid advertising.
Submission of photos is entirely optional and not a condition of entry.
7. General Conditions
- Duplicate, automated, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.
- Employees of Pacific International Insurance and their immediate families are welcome to participate but are not eligible to win.
- Content must reflect responsible pet care. Any submissions deemed unsafe or harmful to animals will be disqualified and may be reported to the relevant platform.
- If you are selected as a winner, you consent to pd.co.nz publishing your first name and surname.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
- co.nz may modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond our control prevent it from running as planned.
- We are not responsible for technical issues or social media platform errors that may affect entry or communication.
- Any decision made by pd.co.nz is final with respect to all matters relating to this competition.
- This competition is governed by New Zealand law and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook (Meta) or Instagram.
By entering the competition, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of them, please do not enter.
