Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the PD Pawliday Kindness Giveaway competition run by PD Insurance NZ (pd.co.nz), in which participants are invited to tag one (1) person/user via a festive-themed post on Facebook and/or Instagram for the chance to win a PD NZ Pawliday Kindness hamper.
In these Terms, “pd.co.nz” refers to PD Insurance, Pacific International Insurance Pty Ltd and all related group companies (also referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”).
1. How to Enter the Competition
To enter the competition, participants must complete the following step during the Competition Period:
- Comment on the official Pawliday Kindness Giveaway post on Facebook or Instagram by tagging one (1) person/user who they believe deserves a PD NZ Pawliday Kindness hamper for themselves and their pet.
That comment automatically counts as one (1) entry into the random name-selector draw.
2. What Counts as a Qualifying Entry
A “Qualifying Entry” must:
- Contain only one (1) valid tag of another Facebook or Instagram user;
- Be submitted within the Competition Period;
- Be appropriate for public display and comply with Meta platform community guidelines (including Facebook and Instagram).
Only one valid entry per person per platform will be accepted. Duplicate, spam, or automated comments will be disqualified.
Participants are welcome (but not required) to include a short explanation about why they tagged their person of choice.
3. Competition Period
The competition runs from 1 December 2025 at 00:01 NZST to 12 December 2025 at 23:59 NZST. Entries received outside this period will not be eligible.
4. Prize and Winner Selection
There will be one official winner, selected at random from all valid entries.
Prize Details:
- One (1) PD NZ Pawliday Kindness hamper containing items for both the recipient and their pet, valued at approximately NZD [confirmed value TBD].
- Winner announcement: 16 December 2025.
The winner will be contacted via Direct Message (DM) on the platform where they entered.
After delivery, PD NZ may reach out to the winner to request – purely on a voluntary basis – either:
- A photo of their tagged friend with the hamper and their pet, or
- A short comment or message from the hamper recipient to share their experience.
Providing this follow-up content is completely optional and not a condition of entry.
5. Eligibility and Contact
To claim the prize, the winner must:
- Respond to our message within 7 days of being contacted.
- Provide a valid phone number, email address, and NZ residential address.
- Be 18 years or older and a resident of New Zealand.
- All personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If a winner does not respond in time or cannot be reached, we reserve the right to:
- Select a replacement winner.
- Withdraw the prize.
- Donate the prize to a registered charity of our choice.
6. Use of Photos and Content
By entering this competition and submitting any photos, videos, comments, or other content as part of participation, entrants grant pd.co.nz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, publish, and distribute such materials across its marketing and promotional channels – including but not limited to social media, newsletters, blogs, and paid advertising.
7. General Conditions
- Duplicate, automated, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.
- Employees of Pacific International Insurance and their immediate families are welcome to participate but are not eligible to win.
- If you are selected as a winner, you consent to pd.co.nz publishing your first name and surname.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
- co.nz may modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond our control prevent it from running as planned.
- We are not responsible for technical issues or social media platform errors that may affect entry or communication.
- Any decision made by pd.co.nz is final with respect to all matters relating to this competition.
- This competition is governed by New Zealand law and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Meta (Facebook or Instagram).
By entering the competition, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of them, please do not enter.
