#PDPetPeople Competition
Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the #PDPetPeople competition run by PD Insurance NZ (pd.co.nz), in which participants are invited to engage with competition content on Facebook or Instagram for the chance to win a $300 Digital Prezzy Card.
In these Terms, “pd.co.nz” refers to PD Insurance, Pacific International Insurance Pty Ltd and all related group companies (also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”).
1. How to Enter the Competition
To enter the competition, participants must complete the following steps during the Competition Period:
- Follow the official PD Insurance NZ account on Facebook or Instagram;
- Comment on the official competition post on Facebook or Instagram with their top pet parenting tip;
- Include the hashtag #PDPetPeople in their comment and;
- Share a picture of their pet either via the comments where available or via Direct Message (DM).
That combination automatically counts as one (1) entry into the random name-selector draw.
2. What Counts as a Qualifying Entry
To be a Qualifying Entry, the entry must:
- Be submitted within the Competition Period;
- Be appropriate for public display and comply with Facebook or Instagram community guidelines;
- Be submitted by a legal resident of New Zealand; and
- Be submitted by a person aged 18 years or over.
Pet parenting tips must be genuine, suitable for general public sharing, and reflect the participant’s own everyday pet care experience. Tips may include general routines, habits, or practical ideas, but must not include medical, treatment, emergency, or other professional guidance, and must not promote unsafe, harmful, reckless, unlawful, or inappropriate conduct involving animals or people.
Photos submitted as part of an entry must be suitable for public display and must not depict pets in distress, danger, discomfort, neglect, unsafe environments, unsafe handling, or any conduct that may reasonably be considered harmful, cruel, exploitative, or inappropriate.
Only one valid entry per person will be accepted. Duplicate, additional, or spam comments, photos, or messages will be disqualified.
3. Competition Period
The competition runs from the 20th of May 2026 at 18:00 NZST to the 12th of June 2026 at 23:59 NZST.
Entries received outside this period will not be eligible.
4. Prize and Winner Selection
There will be one official winner, selected at random from all valid entries.
Prize Details:
- One (1) $300 Digital Prezzy Card.
- Winner announcement: 26th of June 2026
- Delivery: The Digital Prezzy Card will be issued directly to the winner via email.
The winner will be contacted via Direct Message (DM) on Facebook or Instagram.
5. Eligibility and Contact
To enter the competition and claim a prize, winners must:
- Respond to our message within 7 days of being contacted.
- Provide a valid phone number, email address, and NZ residential address.
All personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If a winner does not respond in time or cannot be reached, we reserve the right to:
- Select a replacement winner.
- Withdraw the prize.
- Donate the prize to a registered charity of our choice.
6. Use of Photos and Content
By voluntarily sharing any comments, photos, or other content as part of this competition, participants grant pd.co.nz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, publish, and distribute such materials across its marketing and promotional channels, including but not limited to social media, newsletters, blogs, and paid advertising.
7. General Conditions
- Employees of Pacific International Insurance and their immediate families are welcome to but are not eligible to win.
- If you are selected as a winner, you consent to pd.co.nz publishing your first name and surname.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.pd.co.nz may , suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond our control prevent it from running as planned.
- We are not responsible for technical issues or social media platform errors that may affect entry or communication.
- Any decision made by pd.co.nz is final with respect to all matters relating to this competition.
- This competition is governed by New Zealand law and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Facebook or Instagram.
- By entering the competition, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of them, please do not enter.
