1. Eligibility

  • The prize draw is open to residents of New Zealand and Australia who are 18 years or older.
  • Customers must purchase a qualifying Phoenix Puppy Food product (3kg or 13kg) during the promotional period.
  • Purchases must be made online or in-store and registered via the QR code with proof of purchase.
  • The prize is subject to PD Insurance underwriting rules, and some dog breeds may not qualify for coverage due to policy exclusions.

  • Employees of PD Insurance and their immediate families are not eligible.
  • Each qualifying purchase counts as one entry into the draw.
  • Existing PD Insurance policyholders, renewals, or active customers are not eligible.

2. How to Enter

  • In-store purchases – Scan the QR code at the point of sale and complete the online entry form with proof of purchase.
  • Online purchases – Complete the online registration form and upload proof of purchase.

3. Prize Draw Period

  • The competition runs from March 3, 2025, to April 30, 2025.
  • All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM on April 30, 2025.
  • Only qualifying purchases made during this period will be eligible.

4. Prize

  • One (1) winner will receive a 12-month Classic Pet Insurance policy from PD Insurance, valued at up to $1,200 NZD or AUD (depending on the winner’s region).
  • The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • The policy must be activated within three (3) months of the prize being awarded.
  • Pre-existing conditions, conditions under investigation, or any signs/symptoms of illness or injury before activation will not be covered.
  • After the 12-month free period, if the policy is renewed, standard premium rates will apply.

5. Winner Selection & Notification

  • The winner will be randomly drawn on May 5, 2025, by PD Insurance.
  • The winner will be notified by phone and/or email using the details provided at entry.
  • The winner must respond within seven (7) days of being notified to claim their prize.
  • If the winner does not respond within one week, the prize will be redrawn, and a new winner will be selected.
  • If the redraw winner does not respond within one week, the process will be repeated until the prize is claimed.
  • If the winner does not meet underwriting eligibility, the prize will be redrawn immediately.

6. Winner Requirements

  • The winner must provide all required details to activate the policy.
  • By entering, the winner grants PD Insurance permission to request or receive a photo of them and their pet for promotional use.

7. Publicity

  • PD Insurance may use personal information collected during the competition for administering the draw and marketing its products.

8. General Conditions

  • PD Insurance reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the prize draw at any time.
  • Participants found violating these terms may be disqualified.

9. Privacy

  • All personal data collected will be handled in accordance with PD Insurance’s Privacy Policy.

10. Liability & Release

  • PD Insurance (including officers, employees, and agents) is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury related to the prize draw or acceptance of the prize, except as required by law.

11. Governing Law

  • The competition is governed by the laws of New Zealand or Australia (depending on entry region).
  • Disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the applicable courts.
