#1 Pumpkin Peanut Butter Biscuit Halloween Dog Treats
This pumpkin and peanut butter-based dog treat recipe offers a spooktacular twist on a classic treat. With a hint of peanut butter and a whole lot of pumpkin goodness, your fur kid will be howling for more. So, preheat that oven, grab your favourite Halloween cookie cutter, and let’s get baking.

Ingredients
- 250g pureed pumpkin (unsweetened)
- 60g peanut butter (unsalted, no xylitol – read about xylitol toxicity in dogs)
- 310g whole wheat flour
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C.
- In a bowl, mix the pureed pumpkin, peanut butter, and egg until well combined.
- Gradually add the whole wheat flour and knead the dough until it’s firm.
- Roll out the dough to about 0.5cm thickness and use Halloween-themed cookie cutters to create shapes.
- Place the treats on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until they turn golden brown.
- Let them cool before serving to your furry friend.

#2 Apple and Carrot Halloween Pupcakes
👻 Who says Halloween is all about candy corn and creepy crawlies? These Apple and Carrot Halloween Pupcakes bring a dash of fruity freshness to the spooky season. Grated apples and carrots create a crunchy, munchy masterpiece that’s as healthy as it is scrumptious.
Just make extra sure there are absolutely no seeds in your grated apple, as apple seeds can be toxic to dogs.
Ingredients
- 240g grated apple (peeled and cored)
- 120g grated carrot
- 60g unsweetened applesauce
- 60g honey
- 1 egg
- 125g whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, mix the grated apple, grated carrot, applesauce, honey, and egg.
- Gradually add the whole wheat flour and baking soda, stirring until well combined.
- Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow them to cool completely, then remove the paper cupcake liners before serving them to your pup. You don’t want your pup to choke!

#3 Banana Ghost Popsicle Halloween Dog Treats

Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas
- 240ml plain yoghurt
- 15ml honey
- Popsicle moulds. Bonus points if you can find bone-shaped or ghost-shaped moulds instead!
Instructions
- Mash the bananas and mix them with yoghurt and honey.
- Pour the mixture into bone-shaped or ghost-shaped moulds.
- Freeze the moulds for several hours or until the popsicles are solid.
- Serve these chilling treats to your dog on Halloween for a spooktacular delight!

#4 Sweet Potato Jack-o’-Lanterns
🎃🍠 Want to light up your dog’s Halloween with a treat that’s both nutritious and fun? Look no further than Sweet Potato Jack-o’-Lanterns. These orange delights are shaped like spooky pumpkins, perfect for the season. They’re made from sweet potatoes, offering a healthy dose of vitamins and fibre.
