Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions (Terms) apply to the “Can You Spot the Pet Safety Hazards?” Social Media Competition run by PD Insurance NZ (pd.co.nz), in which participants are invited to identify common household pet safety hazards within a visual carousel posted on Facebook and/or Instagram for the chance to win a $300 Digital Prezzy Card.
In these Terms, “pd.co.nz” refers to PD Insurance, Pacific International Insurance Pty Ltd and all related group companies (also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”).
How to Enter the Competition:
To enter the competition, participants must complete the following steps during the Competition Period:
Comment on the official “Can You Spot the Pet Safety Hazards?” competition post on Facebook or Instagram identifying the four (4) pet safety hazards visible within the carousel images.
That comment automatically counts as one (1) entry into the random name-selector draw.
Participants must also:
- Follow the official PD Insurance NZ social media page on the platform where they enter; and
- Like the official competition post; and
- Be a legal resident of New Zealand; and
- Be aged 18 years or over.
What Counts as a Qualifying Entry:
A “Qualifying Entry” must:
- Clearly identify the four (4) pet safety hazards depicted within the competition carousel images;
- Be posted as a comment on the official competition post on Facebook or Instagram;
- Be submitted during the Competition Period;
- Comply with Facebook and Instagram community guidelines; and
- Be appropriate for public display.
Entries that are incomplete, unrelated, misleading, automated, duplicated, or submitted outside the Competition Period will not qualify.
Only one valid entry per person per platform will be accepted. Duplicate, spam, or automated entries will be disqualified.
Competition Period:
The competition runs from 2 March 2026 at 00:01 NZST to 31 March 2026 at 23:59 NZST.
Entries received outside this period will not be eligible.
Prize and Winner Selection:
There will be one (1) official winner, selected at random from all Qualifying Entries.
Prize Details:
One (1) $300 Digital Prezzy Card.
Winner announcement: 3rd of April 2026.
Delivery: The Digital Prezzy Card will be issued directly to the winner via email.
The winner will be contacted via Direct Message (DM) on the platform where they entered.
Eligibility and Contact:
To enter the competition and claim a prize, winners must:
- Respond to our message within seven (7) days of being contacted;
- Provide a valid email address and New Zealand residential address if requested; and
- Be aged 18 years or older and a legal resident of New Zealand.
All personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
If a winner does not respond in time or cannot be reached, we reserve the right to:
Select a replacement winner;
Withdraw the prize; or
Donate the prize to a registered charity of our choice.
Use of Photos and Content:
By submitting a comment or any other content as part of this competition, participants grant pd.co.nz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, publish, and distribute such materials across its marketing and promotional channels, including but not limited to social media, newsletters, websites, blogs, and advertising.
Submission of additional content beyond the required comment is optional and not a condition of entry.
General Conditions:
- Duplicate, automated, fraudulent, or spam entries will be disqualified.
- Employees of Pacific International Insurance and their immediate families are welcome to participate but are not eligible to win.
- Content must reflect responsible pet care. Any submissions deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or harmful to animals will be disqualified and may be reported to the relevant platform.
- If you are selected as a winner, you consent to pd.co.nz publishing your first name and surname on its social media channels and/or website.
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and not redeemable for cash.
- pd.co.nz reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the competition if circumstances beyond our control prevent it from running as planned.
- We are not responsible for technical issues, platform errors, or communication failures that may affect entry or notification.
- Any decision made by pd.co.nz is final with respect to all matters relating to this competition.
- This competition is governed by New Zealand law and is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook (Meta) or Instagram.
- By entering the competition, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of them, please do not enter.
